Thornhill Medical has formally joined the SaAMS Collaborative Community

Following on the June 2024 SaAMS Symposium attended by Thornhill Medical’s CTO Drew Miller and MOVES® SLC™ / MADM™ Product Manager Keqin Chen, we are delighted to announced that Thornhill Medical has formally joined the SaAMS Collaborative Community.

Smart and Autonomous Medical Systems (SaAMS) describe medical systems in which smart applications connect to medical devices to deliver transformative patient-care solutions safely and efficiently. Led by Massachusetts General Hospital, under the direction of Julian M. Goldman, MD, the SaAMS Collaborative Community brings together experts — manufacturers, clinicians, engineers, researchers, and government agencies – to address challenging medical technology needs and regulatory science issues.

We are excited by the prospect of continuing our collaborations with this esteemed group, building on our record of productive connections in this sphere. As Keqin explained in a recent post from the Symposium, Thornhill Medical’s MOVES® SLC™ was among the first medical devices used to demonstrate the remote control of ventilators (with our project partner DocBox, Inc.), using interoperable data and live simulation of clinical scenarios at the MD PnP lab, during the participation of NETCCN/TiDE program. We are excited to unlock the power of data and interoperability to transform patient care working with the SaAMS community.
